Creative Wake Up – Put on Your Dancin’ Shoes!

It’s easy to get out of your creative rhythm when you have a lot of life and work responsibilities.  Stops and starts make up a big part of your day, post it notes are everywhere and your art gets pushed into a ‘free time’ category – which you don’t often have, so free time and time for art becomes a rare thing.

NOT TODAY!  Put on your dancing shoes! It’s time to get back in the rhythm and nurture your heart and art.  Sure the rhythm is soft and slow sometimes.  Other times it’s STATICO – going so fast that you can’t stop and your day is a creative and productive whirlwind.

Whatever it looks like today – or this week – create something in the slices of time that you have.  It’s your music – no one else’s.

Grab a pencil, your kid’s chalk, your toe in sand – you call the tools.  Keep it up everyday and you’ll find your rhythm and soon… you’ll be dancing.
