Field of Visions and Manifesting Dreams in 7 Steps
Since there are thousands of articles and tips on manifesting and making your visions and dreams come true, why aren’t more dreams coming true? Especially for natural dreamers and artists?
Whether it’s 10 steps or 3 or even 7 steps to manifest visions or dreams that come true, one simple shift makes all the difference: letting God lead. As soon as you surrender to His power and love for you and trust that He will make a way where there is no way, then you’re whole perspective get’s a makeover.
Once you realize He’s leading and you’re truly following, then trust the guidance and step out in faith to put it into actual practice. We can miss, or continually avoid the fact that it’s actually up to us to make the choices and take the action.
Often the answers are right in front of us, yet we always excuse it away or make it harder for ourselves.
Manifest (man·i·fest | \ ˈma-nə-ˌfest): making the unseen, seen. To make evident or seen by showing.
First, know yourself and what you want
Before you can do this thing of having a field of visions and dreams: 7 steps to manifesting dreams that come true – to manifest any dream, a life you love and create anything, you’ve got to know what you want – what YOU really want for your creative life. Not what your parents want, your partner wants, your societal patterning has told you to want.
What do YOU want?
Dreams on a field of play
Expansive dreaming and intentional visioning are prerequisites for bringing clarity and manifesting your dreams.
Like this line from the movie, Field of Dreams,
“If you build it, they will come.”
The main character, played by Kevin Costner, acted out the impossible and unexplainable dream of turning part of a working farm into a baseball field.
I love this metaphor of a field for dreams as it hints at the morphic field and of tapping in to patterns and possibilities. (This is where the fun begins!)
Back to earth for now though… in the movie, the field took a story path of being open to the possibility of the unexplainable, clarity in the idea, attention and focus, feeling the possibility of belief, trust in the message in any form and inspired action.
It’s like a recipe for manifesting dreams into physical reality:
Put God in charge,
Be open to the possibility of the unexplainable,
have clarity in the idea,
keep attention and focus,
feel the possibility of belief,
have faith and trust in the message in any form and
take inspired action.
Creating more than just vision boards
Unlike the movie, most people start the year with Vision Boards, then wonder why they often don’t work well or fast enough. One step that’s often missed is that dreams and visions are NOT the same, though they can blend together. Dreaming about your life and all the things you wish and hope for is only the first stage of gathering what you really want, yet without action, they will stay in dreamland. Visioning is then applying your dreams into focused action.
Another step is that the process is continual, not only for the start of a new year, but quarterly, monthly and even daily.
Creating and reviewing your dreams and visions is like eating breakfast. Feed your body, feed your mind, feed your dreams.
Having a daily visual view of your dreams make it so much easier to keep motivated. The secret is make two boards: Dream it first, then narrow it all down into a focused vision.
Here’s the truth. God is in charge of manifesting. No one else.
7 Steps to manifest your dreams and create your life you really want
To lay out a simple path to bringing visions and dreams to life, it looks like this:
- Being open to the possibility of the unexplainable
- Letting go of the known path and ask God to take control.
- Clarity in the idea
- Attention and focus
- Feeling the belief: Believe before you see it.
- Trust: in the message and in yourself
- Inspired and aligned action
Simply, not easy
So, if it’s so simple, why does it seem so hard? It’s simple, not easy – but you can do this.
One of the biggest busters of dreams, and following that simple path, is asking or worrying about HOW to make your dreams come true:
How do I get there from here?
How do I turn my dreams into reality?
Figuring out How, is NOT on the simple path list. Did you notice?
Letting go of HOW, letting go of control, letting go of knowing, letting go of figuring it out is one of the biggest keys and often the hardest part of learning manifesting your dreams.
Everything is not figureoutable.
When life is plain hard
Most of us are conditioned from childhood to FIRST not trust: “Be careful!” “WATCH OUT!” — and while caution has it’s place, this lack of trust in your own safety in life can spill over to mistrusting yourself in many things, your decisions, your actions and even trusting that life has your back and that you don’t have to go this life alone.
If life struggles are hard or long enough, you may feel the pull, or worse, begin the spiral down and lose faith in your ability to do anything.
If that’s where you are, there is no shame in that feeling. I’ve been there and back – and there and back – and I believe those experiences are not random and have the potential to make you stronger than ever.
Start by knowing that you likely have a very important role to play in this movie of life — and like a movie, you’re at a point where the character makes a choice that changes everything.
Keep the faith and keep going!
Chose to believe in yourself.
If you’re not clear on a choice, and you’ve asked for God’s will to be done in your life, choose to believe in yourself, no matter what.
Believe that you have a leading role to play out in this life movie. You’ve been to wardrobe, to makeup, given your character’s gifts and storyline and your scene is here. REMEMBER IT NOW!
Your role wants to be played out! Your gifts are asking to be expressed and will manifest somehow – either through your conscious choice or through a disturbance in your body – IF not allowed to get through.
Ask
To get clear, get quiet and why not ask? Quiet down for a moment, close your eyes, hands on your heart or belly and ask the Lord, “What do you want me to know?” “How can I serve You today?”or similar (keep it open ended). Then, listen for the unexpected – it could be a feeling, a memory, a color. It only takes a moment. Ask your heart what it needs to express, what needs to come through you.
Whether or not the clouds part and the sun beams a stream of light onto your face, claim the miracle that you breathe.
Then, accept your gifts (even if you’re still unclear) as they are right now in your life, with gratitude. Focus on them and expand the feeling that you can use them well. Trust that God has your back and take responsibility for your dreams coming to life – then take the first move.
Love and courage,
Roxanne
